Data deletion instructions

This page explains how to have your personal data deleted from Petek and the services connected to it.

  1. 1.Petek users (school staff)

    You can delete your account yourself. In the web app use "Delete my account" on the My account › Security page; in the iPhone and iPad app use the "Delete my account" row at the top of the Menu screen. To confirm, you enter your password and the confirmation word shown on screen. This cannot be undone.

  2. 2.What is deleted

    Your name, email address, phone number and profile photo; your password, two-step verification and your sessions on every device; your notifications and their settings, home layout, report subscriptions, assistant chats and personal filters. Your membership in every school ends and you can no longer sign in to any of them.

  3. 3.What stays with the school

    The school's records (tasks, notes, leave and payroll records, documents you uploaded) stay with the school; they show "Silinmiş kullanıcı" (deleted user) instead of your name. The activity log is kept by law and is not deleted. If you are the only owner of a school, you must transfer ownership to someone else or close the school before deleting your account.

  4. 4.Parents and people who fill in forms

    For the student and parent data a school enters into Petek, that school is the data controller; send your deletion request directly to the school. Enquiries that reach a school through its Meta lead forms or its ads are kept in the school's leads in Petek, and the school can delete such a lead together with its history.

  5. 5.Requests to Onore

    For the information you send us through the demo, quote and contact forms on this website, Onore is the data controller. You can send a deletion request through the form on the Contact page or the Talk to sales page. We reply within thirty days at the latest.

  6. 6.Meta (Facebook) connection

    When a school connects its Facebook Page to Petek, Petek stores only the access tokens of the Pages it picks, encrypted; the tokens of Pages it does not pick are deleted. When the school clicks "Disconnect" in Petek, lead notifications for that Page are turned off and its access token is deleted. You can also remove Petek on the Facebook side: your profile picture › Settings and privacy › Settings › Business integrations, select Petek and click Remove (Meta's help page: facebook.com/help/405094243235242). Leads that already reached Petek stay in the school's leads and are deleted by the school.
